At the age of 18, Ayesha Naseem, Pakistan’s talented young cricketer, has decided to retire from all forms of cricket. According to reports in Pakistani media, Ayesha made this choice to align her life with the principles of Islam.

In her short cricketing career for Pakistan, she featured in 30 T20Is and 4 ODIs, scoring 369 and 33 runs, respectively. Ayesha gained recognition for her powerful batting and ability to send the ball soaring over the boundary with long sixes, earning praise from Pakistan legend Wasim Akram.

In January 2023, Ayesha Naseem displayed her explosive skills during a match against Australia, scoring a quick-fire 24 runs off just 20 balls, including three sixes and a boundary. Her abrupt retirement has surprised and saddened Pakistan’s women’s cricket community.
