Early Life & Journey
Holly Huddleston was born on 11 October 1987 in Springs, Transvaal, South Africa. She later moved on to New Zealand were her cricketing career began with Northern spirits. She made a switch from Northern spirits to Auckland Hearts in 2009-10.
Huddleston is one of those players who made it late into the international team. she can be considered to be a late bloomer as she had her debut at the age of 25 years. Her debut came against the West Indies on 22nd February 2014 in a one-day international match. T20 international debut came on 2nd March 2014 against West Indies.
Her debut took a long time but that means that she had played a lot of domestic cricket before she went on the road with her international team and experience in cricket is something worth more than gold.
In a short career, Huddleston already holds the record for the most number of 5 wicket hauls by New Zealand bowler in one-day international matches.
Holly Huddleston is primarily a right-arm medium pacer but she also has the ability to bat in the middle order and smoke the ball out of the park. She has some absolutely stunning knocks with the bat for her domestic side.
She had a superb 2013-14 domestic season, her performances in that season meant that she was ready to make her debut for the white herns. After she had made her debut she also represented New Zealand at the women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.

With the bat, she has just managed 67 runs in all with an average below 10.
In T20 internationals she has represented New Zealand in 13 matches and has 11 wickets to her name at an average of 17.18. She has an economy of 4.97 and her best bowling figure is two wickets for 9 runs. Her batting average in T20 internationals is also below 10.
