Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been out of the game since September 2019. Pandya was out of the game due to back injury he suffered last year. The right-hand batsman underwent surgery and is now keeping up well. Pandya’s last game for the Men in Blue came against South Africa in September last year.

But it seems like all is well now for Pandya and he is ready to stage a comeback into the cricketing field. According to various reports, the right-hand all-rounder will be making a return by participating in a local T20 tournament.

According to sources, the tournament’s name is DY Patil T20 Tournament.

After some thorough check-ups in the month of January, Pandya is currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), attending a rehabilitation program. The news of Pandya’s return will be a boost for Team India that has lost the ODI series against New Zealand 3-0.

His return will give the additional batting depth to the Men in Blue. On the other hand, his medium-fast bowling can come handy on numerous occasions.

The medium-pacer was actually going to return in the recently concluded series against New Zealand. The cricketer from Mumbai was included in the India A side for the upcoming tour of New Zealand. But he could not recover on time for the tour and hence, was left out of the squad.

As of now, India’s focus will be to give him some match practice before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, starting in the month of October. After MS Dhoni’s absence, the Men In Blue have been looking for a perfect finisher for quite a while now. Pandya showed some glimpses of a finisher in the last season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he played some swash-buckling knocks for the Mumbai Indians (MI).

The right-hand batsman can act as a finisher for the ICC tournament.

WHERE IS MS DHONI? IS HE LIKELY TO MAKE A COMEBACK ANYTIME SOON?

MS Dhoni has been out of the game since the ICC Cricket World Cup, last year. As a result, he was dropped from the BCCI’s list of centrally contracted players. The former Indian skipper will be leading Chennai Super Kings (CSK) once again in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, starting from March 29.

The cricketer from Jharkhand has been one of the shining names of Indian cricket. He has been serving Indian cricket since 2004 and the things he has achieved in his illustrious career is something that others can only dream of.

The former Indian skipper will lead CSK in the upcoming Indian Premier League. While cricket pundits are of the view that MS Dhoni’s comeback in International cricket is highly unlikely, an outstanding season might open the gates for him ahead of the T20 World Cup to be held later this year.
