The Men in Blue are currently in full swing with their preparations for their match against the formidable Kangaroos, which will begin on February 9th, 2023 in Nagpur.

The series will be a part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where India had previously defeated Australia after victories in back-to-back traditional matches on Australian soil.

India has been incredibly dominant at home, and with the kind of spinners they have at their disposal, it is quite difficult for any team to compete with them there.

Cheteshwar Pujara, the standout batter for India and a veteran of the Test format, is anticipating the series and has already started making preparations.

On his official Twitter account, he posted a photo with the caption, “Getting ready for the forthcoming Border-Gavaskar series vs Kangaroos.

Pujara concluded the previous year with an excellent hitting record, scoring 409 runs at an average of 45.44, including 103 triples.

After 1400 days, he reached his last century.

Pujara’s journey hasn’t been simple; the years 2020 and 2021 weren’t great for the star batter, and he was also cut from the team.

He eventually played for the Sussex county side in England, scoring 1,094 runs at an enormous average of 109.40.

He finished the season with five hundreds, which led to his eventual recall to the national team.

The most prestigious cricket competition, known as the Border Gavaskar Trophy, is named after two legendary players from both nations, namely Allan Border and Sunil Gavaskar.

Test cricket is the highest level of the game, when each player’s temperament is scrutinised and they must have exceptional skills to win across all five days.
