“Get Well Soon for what if I may ask?” Gujarat Giants All-Rounder Deandra Dottin exposed BCCI on social media with her latest post
Before the first game against Gujarat Giants in the inaugural WPL, a controversy has already started.
Giants selected the talented hitter Deandra Dottin for INR 60 lakh, however she was unable to participate in the first game.
Fans first speculated that it might be related to the four foreign players limit, but it was later discovered that she had been replaced by an Australian player.
All four Australian players were included in Beth Mooney’s selection for the captaincy, and adding a fifth just indicates that Mooney will mostly field players from her home country.
Dottin’s replacement has been chosen as Kim Garth.
When this news started trending on Instagram, where the majority of replies were “Get Well Soon,” she responded, “Get Well Soon for what, if I may ask?”
I think we have the 1st #WPL controversy @GujaratGiants need to come up with some clarity

Although she said she was well, she did say how much she appreciated the messages from her followers.
Dottin is regarded as one of the world’s most dangerous batters, and the Giants will undoubtedly suffer as a result of her absence.

Gujarat desperately needed help with Dotting being the firepower batter, and their supporters could miss her absence as it was evident in the first game against the Mumbai Indians, which they lost despite needing to score 207 runs.

Gujarat Giants must offer an explanation for this situation if they don’t want to harm their franchise and the BCCI-organized WPL.
After the conclusion of League stage the team which will finish at the top will automatically qualify for the finals and team finishing at second and third position will play eliminator and the winner of this contest will qualify as the other finalist and finally the grand finale spectacle will take place on March 26th 2023 in DY Patil Stadium Mumbai.
