Frank assessment on how many medals will India clinch in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2021?

After winning 2 medals in the last Summer Olympics in Rio it will be interesting to see that whether Indian team will increase their tally of medals in the upcoming marquee event which is scheduled in Tokyo in 2021.

The prediction from Olympic analyst Gracenote will certainly lift the morale of Indian fans who are residing all over the globe who stated that India will be in the list of top 10 countries in the world who will improve their ranking in terms of winning medals as compare to the last one held in Rio.

The analyst has predicted 17 podium wins for Indian athlete, including four gold medals which is stated to be scheduled from July 23^rd to August 8^th 2021.

Gracenote who is known for providing statistical data in major sports tournaments has predicted that India will clinch 8 gold medals in shooting followed by four in boxing, three in wrestling and one in archery and one in Weightlifting.

This breakdown easily adds up to 17 medals with four gold medals, five silver medals and eight bronze.

Meanwhile, Gracenote has also predicted the countries who will win maximum medals in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2021 as they stated that the US will win at least 114 medals followed by China who will clinch 85 medals.

If India manages to win four gold medals it will be the biggest achievement for the Indian Olympics team as the only player who has managed to win gold so far is Abhinav Bindra in 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Indian players including the likes of PV Sindhu, Manu Bhaker, Saurabh Chaudhary, Bajrang Punia etc are expected to bring medals for the national side in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics 2021.
