Frances Claire Wilson biography : Frances Claire Wilson is an English woman cricketer who hails from Farnham in Surrey, United Kingdom. She is an astute and technically correct batter and can bowl useful off breaks.She is a part of English women’s cricket party which is going to participate in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia.
She is also a member of the 2017 World cup winning team. She has also played for Somerset County and currently playing for Middlesex County.
Her early life
She was born on 7 November 1991 in Farnham, England. She has studied at Malmesbury Academy. She is one of the most flamboyant and impressive batters in English women’s cricket team.
In 2010, she was selected in ECB development XI for the women’s European Championship in which she impressed the selectors with her fluent stroke play against Netherlands and Scotland. Later, she was awarded a place in the touring squad of the England cricket team to the SriLanka in both the ODIs and T20s.
She didn’t make any significant contributions in that series but was retained for the tour to Australia where she failed miserably bagging two consecutive ducks. She was dropped from the squad.
In the 2014 T20 Worldcup, she was recalled following her good domestic form but remained on the sidelines throughout the tournament.

Professional career
After the 2014 world cup, her career was in tendrums but a switch from Somerset to Middlesex helped her in regaining the lost trust. Later, she was awarded a central contract by ECB in 2015.
In 2016, when she played her second T20 in English shirts after a span of 5 years, she hit 43 not out against Pakistan in Southampton to win the game for his side. Her career was effectively started.
In 2015, she made the move from Somerset to Middlesex to enable her to play in the first division of the County Championship which proved the masterstroke. She got good opportunities to play at Middlesex which paved the way for her comeback in English cricket team. Later she was selected for the Canterbury Ashes test but remained on the sidelines as 12th member.
She has played for Hobart Hurricanes in Women Big Bash scoring 61 runs at the strike rate of 122 in 7 matches including highest score of 46.
She was part of the 2017 Women’s World Cup final which was won by England against India. She bagged a golden duck in that match.
She has also played for Western storms in the Kia Super League.
