Football News : Spurs boss Antonio Conte to undergo a surgery for this reason

In a recent and a tensed development, Tottenham Hotspurs manager Antonio Conte will have to undergo a surgery which will remove his gallbladder. Spurs confirmed the news on Wednesday February 1st through Twitter. The former Italian and Juventus manager reportedly became ill and unwell to carry on.

His agonizing abdominal pain was because of an inflamed gallbladder. Conte has been diagnosed with cholecystitis and his surgery will ensure the damaged part has been removed. This could be setback for Spurs as the second-half of the season has already begun and the Londoners face reigning champions Manchester City for a return PL fixture on Sunday.

This news could be an indication that Antonio Conte will not be in the touch line against City. The club said that he will return after he gets fully recovered but Spurs did not clarify or provide a date for the same. His influence in the club has been massive since the Mauricio Pochetinno era at the White hart lane.

He served as Chelsea manager before he took over the helm at their London rivals. The 53-year-old had a terrific tenure at the Stamford Bridge as he delivered the Premier League trophy in his first season and an FA Cup in the following season.

Antonio Conte helped Spurs to finish in Top 4 last season and enabled them to play in Europe after an underwhelming start to the season under Nuno Espiritio Santos. Tottenham are currently 5th in the league table and only 3 points separates them from a European spot.

All of his fans and Football fans will be praying for a successful surgery and hopefully he comes out fine.
