FIFAe Nations Series 2022-23 : Match Day 1 & 2 Results. Find the Squad as well

FIFAe Nations Series 2022-23 Division 1 kicked off two days ago with 7 teams from Asia & Oceania region battling it out for the top spot. Team India began their campaign off to a flying start as they finished on top of standings on Match day 1.

After AIFF signed an agreement with FIFA for the FIFAe Nations 2022-23 series, India are all set to be a part of the flagship competitive FIFA esports for the 3rd year in a row. Currently ranked 18th in the World rankings, India qualified for the major FIFAe Nations Cup 2022 for the first time but missed out on qualifying for the Knockouts held at Denmark.

In the Asia & Oceania server there are teams like Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, Korea Republic, Malaysia and Hong Kong alongside India. There will be 3 separate Match Days slated for the next 3 months. The first match day has already been done and dusted on December 15-16 while the 2nd Match day will take place on January 26-27, 2023 and the final match day will be on March 2-3, 2023.

Our eBlue Tigers began their FIFAe Nations series in an emphatic manner as they finished on top of the standings (of Division 1) on Day 1 after playing 6 matches. They opened their campaign with a win as India defeated Korea Republic by 3-1.

The eBlue tigers continued their dominance in the second match against Hong Kong and won the match by 4-1. The following match (3rd) India played out a goal fest Draw against Singapore by 4-4. Their next tie against Indonesia also ended in a draw of 1-1. In the 5th and 6th match, India defeated Japan and Malaysia by score lines of 3-2 and 2-1 respectively.

After the end of Day 1, India took the first place with 14 points while Singapore are just below them with the same points. On Day 2 though Singapore took the first place and India suffered their first defeat of the campaign to the hands of Japan by 1-0.

As things stand Singapore are on top of Division 1 standings with 27 points and India are behind them by just 4 points. Remember, the team that finishes on top of Standings of Division after all the three match days, will directly qualify for the FIFAe Nations Play-offs, scheduled to take place on May 2023.
