FIFA Rankings: Belgium stays on top as India retained 105th position

In recent months we have seen different league competitions are taking place in all over the world however in retrospect International matches have been reduced amid this pandemic time. The reason behind this disparity is still not figured out.

As the latest FIFA men’s World ranking was announced where Belgium manages to stay at the top however Blue Tigers retain their 105th position which the national federation and support staff certainly needs to work on so that India team can at least manage to stay in top 100 football teams in the world.

Due to less International matches, the only country which has managed to gain their rankings higher by moving at 98th position as compare to 99th position they had last year.

Indian men’s football team is currently in Doha for 2023 Asia Cup qualifiers and they certainly needs to put a good show with the ball and also the national federation needs to build a strong infrastructure which can help the budding footballer who is part of ISL to smoothly work on their skills and utilize those skills once they enter in the International arena.

Ukraine remains at 24th position but certainly has dropped few points and Serbia their close competitor seems a strong candidate to fill those gaps.

The next FIFA Men’s World Cup Ranking will be released on August 12, 2021 and the Blue Tigers certainly need to improve the quality of their game at pressure moments to make sure that the team falls in the category of top 100 football teams soon.
