Durand Cup is the oldest football tournament in Asia, having started back in 1888. This is the 129th edition of the Durand Cup and will see a total of 16 teams battle it out to add the coveted title to their trophy cabinet ahead of the start of the main football season. Among the 16 teams, 5 teams are from the Indian Super League, 6 teams from the I League, 1 2nd division club and 4 armed forces teams.
