Batsmen with Fastest 100 in CPL

India’s most loved sports had to face a pause due to the onset of a most horrifying pandemic. Many international country cricket boards had to shut off cricket until providing any further notice. However, things started to get better, and the world started to open a bit, sports opened too and so did cricket. The first country to begin an international cricket series was England where the West Indies toured England later this year.

With all the green flags, one of the most loved franchise-based tournaments the Caribbean Premier League is all set to commence form 18th August. CPL has given us some tremendous talents to watch out for over the years and we have witnessed some amazing performances from players all around the world in CPL.

As CPL is a shorter format tournament, one of the interesting part to watch this league are power hitters of the game. With their ability to smash every ball to the boundary or out of the park, there have been players who have outshined and brought out the best in them, which helped them to create records after records. One such record which is the most talked about is the fastest centuries.

The West Indies legend, Andre Russell managed to the impossible as he led the Jamaica Tallawahs to a 4-wicket victory over the former Caribbean Premier League champions the Trinbago Knight Riders at the Queen’s Park Oval at the Port of Spain in 2018.  It was Russell’s debut match as a skipper, when he blasted his route to a 40-ball century prior to having taken a hat-trick at the back end of the Knight Riders’ innings. It was all over for the Jamaica Tallawahs as half of their team was bundled up at 41 for 5 in reply to Trinbago Knight Riders CPL all-time greatest record score of 223/6 in the first innings, but that’s when entered Russell with his absolutely stunning form.

His century came up right at the 40th ball with a record-breaking 12th sixers.
