Ex-Captain Salman Butt blasts on Pakistan Selectors ! Asks to learn from Indian Cricketers

Salman Butt

Former Pakistan Skipper Salman Butt, believes that no matter the format, Team India is more methodical in their approach than its bitter rivals. His remarks followed India’s 168-run thrashing of New Zealand in the third T20I on Wednesday. New Zealand, which toured India after winning the opening game of the 2-1 ODI series in Pakistan, was overpowered by a young team. When asked if Pakistan played a better team than New Zealand, Butt responded that India’s mentality is more “confident and straightforward”.

An assured and rational opposition has been given to New Zealand. They have a sizable player base and experience playing first-class or “A” team cricket internationally. They have gained more visibility in each game. There was no mental clarity in Pakistan’s home season, Butt claimed on his YouTube channel.

Butt continued by pointing out that Pakistan’s decision-making in the 2022 home season was based on “fear,” which was the cause of their failure.

He added ”The fear was evident in their choices. Pakistan’s domestic season served as evidence that you can never succeed when you play out of fear of failing. All decisions were made completely out of fear because there was fear. Here, it was made plain who will play and at what number. There was simply more transparency in India. There was no uncertainty there because of how aggressively England plays.”
