Douglas Costa is a Brazilian professional Footballer who plays forward for the Serie A Club Juventus and Brazilian national team.
EARLY LIFE
Douglas was born on 14th September 1990 to mother Marlene Costa de Souza and father Antonio Valmor de Souza in the Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
He belonged from a hard-working Brazilan family. He joined the club Gremio at the age of 11. On 4th October 2008, he made his debut for the club against Botafogo at the age of 18. He netted his debut goal in the same match itself.
Before leaving Gremio Costa made 37 appearances. On 10th January he joined the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.
PERSONAL LIFE
Douglas married his long-time girlfriend Lusia Ramos in June 2014, but the marriage didn’t long forever as the couple split just after a year of marriage. Currently, Costa is single and so far no rumors have been popped about his relationship.
CLUB CAREER
On 10th January 2010, Costa signed a five-year contract for six million Euro with Shakhtar Donetsk. He debuts for the club against England club Fulham in UEFA Europa League on 18th February. He netted his first goal for the club against Metalist Kharkiv in a 2-1 victory.
In the first season itself, he helped the club to conquer the 2009-10 Premier League title while in the second season he won the treble with the club. In the third season, he registered the Premier League, Ukrainian Cup and the Super cup under the club name.
Before leaving the club for Baryen Munich, Costa became the top assist provider at Donetsk. 1st July 2015 he joined Bayern Munich for a transfer of 30 million euros. He played his debut match for the club against VfB Wolfsburg in 2015 DFL-Supercup.
He netted his first goal for the club against Borussia Dortmund in the 2016 DFB-Pokal Final. With Costa in their side, the club won 2 Bundesliga titles, 2015-16 DFB-Pokal and 2016 DFL-Supercup.
Bayern loaned Costa to Juventus for 6 million euros on 12th July 2017, but Juventus signed him permanently on 1st July 2018 for an additional 40 million euros. Costa made his Juventus debut against Lazio in the 2017 Supercopa Italiana in a 3-2 loss.
In the first season, he helped the team to won Seria A 2017-18 and also became second in the list of top assist providers in Serie A.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER
Costa made his international debut for the Brazilian national team against Turkey in 2014 November. Costa was included in 23’s man squad for the 2015 Copa America. He netted his first goal for the country in their opening match against Peru. 
He was also named in the Tite’s 23-man squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup

Douglas Costa made controversy when he receives a straight red for elbowing and head-butting Sassuolo forward.
