Don’t call me ‘sasur’: Shahid Afridi funny Interaction With Shaheen Afridi goes viral

Pakistan Star bowler Shaheen Afridi married Ansha, the daughter of former captain Shahid Afridi. But despite the funny advise Shahid gave, the left-arm pacer shouldn’t call him his father-in-law. In a recent interview, Shahid amusingly urged Shaheen to stop referring to him as “sasur.”

He provided evidence for his choice by mentioning how recently he had won a cricket trophy. Notably, Afridi won the Legends League Cricket championship. In the tournament’s final game, the Asia Lions, under his leadership, defeated the World Giants by seven wickets.

Shahid said to Shaheen in an interview with Samaa TV, “Sasur, tumhare muh se main dubara na sunu (I don’t want to hear this word from your mouth again)”.

“So if he has won the trophy (in the PSL for Lahore Qalandars), then I have also won the trophy in Qatar (Legends League Cricket),” Shahid said.

In March, Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen, defeated Multan Sultans in a thrilling last-ball victory to win the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the second time in a row.

The instant Khushdil Shah was run out in the final ball of the match, jubilation broke out as Shaheen became the first skipper to ever win back-to-back PSL championships.

The youthful Zaman Khan was given the ball with 13 runs required off the last over, and he immediately emerged as his team’s star by allowing just 11 runs.

Shaheen also talked about how exciting it was for him to bowl against Shahid Afridi five years ago in the Pakistan Super League. The bowler for the left arm also described his bond with Shahid Afridi.

“He serves as my example. He has served as my source of inspiration. Lala had been hitting well, and I used to turn off the TV when he was out. You are a my hero. He reminds me of a friend, Shaheen remarked.
