Former West Indies cricketer Darren Sammy‘s racism allegation just doesn’t seem to stop. Sammy posted a video on his Instagram profile where he talked about the racist comment that was passed on him during his stint with SRH in 2013.

As some Indian players used to call him “Kalu” and as per Sammy, that word was called to mock him along with Thisara Perera who was also at the receiving end.

Also on Thursday, he told me that he got a response from one of the Indian players who were the part of that SRH camp and told him it was said in love and there was no intention to mock him. Sammy said he believed in the words of the player.

Sammy described on Twitter where he wrote “I’m pleased to say that I’ve had a really interesting conversation with one of the guys and we are looking at ways to educate rather than focusing on the negatives. My brother reassured me that he operated from a place of love and I believe him.”.

However, in response to her tweet Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar came with a reply as she is active on all social platforms and she speaks her mind whenever she needs to and she wrote on her official twitter replying to Sammy “Dear @darensammy88 if someone used the N-word at a black person & said they “operated from a place of love” what would u say? Same with the word ‘Kaalu’ & it’s variations. And team members of @SunRisers. Show some decency & spine #SaySorryToDaren officially! #thatsnotcricket @IPL”.

However, Sammy was quick to respond to Swara where he said he doesn’t want to condone the act however he sees this as an opportunity to educate people on what they need to say and what they don’t want to see. And He is a proud black man and that will never change.

The interesting thing that we need to check over here is SRH management has not come with an official statement yet.
