Star Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo once again came to the rescue of Al-Nassr during Arab Champions Cup 2023 Semi-final against Al-Shorta. The 38-year-old converted a 75th minute penalty to set up a meeting with Al-Hilal in Arab Club Champions Cup 2023 Final.

On Saturday, August 12, Cristiano Ronaldo will get his first chance to win a silverware with Al-Nassr and also end his 3-year trophy drought. His last trophy came in the form of Supercoppa Italiana as a Juventus player back in 2020.
Since then he has experienced a turbulent few seasons first with Manchester United, which led to an eventual contract termination in December 2022. Upon his departure from Old Trafford, he joined Al-Nassr but missed out from winning Saudi Pro League by 5 points in a heartbreaking fashion.

His scoring spree started against Monastir, followed by a late equalizing goal (87′) in 2nd group stage match against Zamalek. He kept his flow intact in the Semi-final too as he turned a penalty won by Sadio Mane in the 75th minute.
Cristiano Ronaldo netted his 24th goal for Al-Nassr, 4th in Arab Club Champions Cup. 14 of his 18 goals came last season in 16 Saudi Top-flight appearances.
Meanwhile, Al-Nassr will now lock horns against arch rivals Al-Hilal, who snatched the Saudi Pro League title from their reach previous term. The reigning Saudi champions further strengthened their side by adding the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic Savic and Malcolm, in the current transfer window.
They also tried to lure Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar for more than just some lucrative deals but have been unlucky to hear “No” each time. Can Al-Hilal land the first blow on Al-Nassr?
