Chelsea Football Club, also known as “The Blues”, is an English professional Football club based in London. They participate in the Premier League, FA Cup, and FA Community Shield. The club is among the top Football clubs across the globe.

HISTORY

Chelsea was founded in 1905 by Gus Mears an English businessman who was the person behind the making of the Stamford Bridge athletics stadium in order to promote and transform Football and its stadiums.

Initially, he had an idea to rent any of the existing clubs, but after the deal with the British football club Fulham FC went unsuccessful, he aimed to start a new club and the rest is history.

After the formation of the Club, it soon got huge attention and attendance with the local supporters. In the late 1910’s Chelsea finally established itself as the biggest club in the capital and also became the first in Britain to achieve an average attendance of over forty thousand people.

Since the origin of the club, Stamford Bridge has been serving the club as their home ground since 1905. Stamford Bridge is going to be the ninth-largest venue of the 2019-20 Premier League season.
