Champions Trophy 2025: Bench Strength or Full Strength Squad who will play against New Zealand in 2025?

Team India have already qualified for Champions Trophy 2025 semifinal, where they play last league stage match, against New Zealand on 2nd March 2025.

There are reports looming over several Indian Cricketers, being partially injured and recuperating at the moment.

As per development, Rohit Sharma and Mohammad Shami is likely to take rest against New Zealand ahead of the semifinal clash.

The biggest question arises, if the report are true we might see someone like Arshdeep Singh and Rishabh Pant playing in the upcoming matches.

However, when the entire team trained last time which involved an intense session held for 3 hours where Rohit Sharma avoided going in the nets.

The practice session was quite different as it involved unique catching practice where players were catching the ball via tennis racquet.

Shubhman Gill also skipped practice session was resting in the hotel.

It is also believed that one of the spinners – either Kuldeep or Jadeja who will take rest in the Upcoming match against Kiwis.

If Rohit, Shami and Kuldeep rest in the upcoming match against New Zealand in that place- Pant, Arshdeep and Washington Sundar can easily fit into that place.

However, India certainly possess immense bench strength and they can give tough time to any Opposition team on their given day.

My Perspective:

Indian Cricket Team have done wonders in ICC events it all start down from 2022 T20 World Cup where they might finished as semifinalist spot, where they lost against England by 10 wickets and the biggest reason behind this shamble performance was they failed to play modern day cricket.

Rohit Sharma looks dejected after that loss.

Playing a modern style of cricket, which India successfully introduced, is one of their biggest changes, and captain Rohit Sharma deserves praise for this.

As the team’s leader, he instilled a fearless style of cricket and made sure that the Men in Blue played modern cricket, making sure that they scored at least 80 runs in the first ten overs.

In hindsight, the strategy used by other cricketers descending the order ensures that Indian teams reach par total when they bat first; when chasing totals, they should make sure they reach the target as quickly as possible.

The Indian cricket team is undoubtedly among the favorites to win this tournament; all they have to do is replicate their current style of play and stick to their consistent strategy.

With their victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup, the Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, has transformed into an unbeatable force. With this, we can conclude that Indian cricket has a bright future.
