Cricket player from Papua New Guinea named Chad Soper was born on November 19, of the year 1991. Chad Soper was raised on the New South Wales Central Coast but was actually born in Port Moresby to a Papua New Guinean mother and a New Zealander father.

Playing Cricket Career

In the year 2012, Soper played for the Papua New Guinea under-19 cricket team in Australia’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Chad Soper helped bowl out India for 204 by taking 5/32 against them.

On June 22, of the year 2015, Chad Soper faced the Netherlands in his List A debut at the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship. On November 21, of the year 2015, against the cricket team of Afghanistan, Chad Soper made his first-class debut in the 2015–17 ICC Intercontinental Cup. In the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship match between Papua New Guinea and Kenya on May 28, of the year 2016, Soper recorded his first five-wicket haul in a List A game.

On July 23, of the year 2015, Chad Soper played for Papua New Guinea in his first Twenty 20 International (T20) match against the cricket team of Afghanistan in the 2015 ICC World Twenty 20 Qualifier competition. On November 4, of the year 2016, Chad Soper played in his first One Day International (ODI) match against Hong Kong. Chad Soper recorded his first international five-wicket haul in the second ODI of the visit, finishing with figures of 6/41. For his efforts, Soper was named the game’s man of the match.

Chad Soper was included in the Papua New Guinea team for Group A of the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty-20 in the month of August of the year 2018. With ten dismissals in six games, Chad Soper was Papua New Guinea’s top wicket-taker in the competition. Chad Soper was included in the Papua New Guinea team for the Regional Finals of the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty-20 in the month of March of the year 2019.

Chad Soper was chosen to play for the Papua New Guinea cricket team in the men’s competition at the 2019 Pacific Games in the month of June of the year 2019. Chad Soper was included in the Papua New Guinea team for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier match in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the month of September of the year 2019.
