Border-Gavaskar trophy 2023 : India announce squad for the next 2 Tests and ODIs

After tasting success in the first 2 Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2022/23, India have announced their squad for the remaining matches scheduled take place in March at the Holkar Stadium and Narendera Modi stadium respectively.

India will be banking on carrying out the basic things accurately and why not? The hosts have folded the Aussies and ended the match on the 3rd day consecutively. Spinners have had their say and Ravindra Jadeja in all regards has been the key to India’s success. The Leftie took 7 wickets at Delhi and the same type of flair could be on display in the remaining 2 matches.

Meanwhile, India released their squad and none of the players have been dropped from the side in the first Tests and the management has called up several spinners and pacers.

India’s squad for remaining BGT Tests : Rohit Sharma (Captain), K L Rahul, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, KS Bharat (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat.

Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat and Kuldeep Yadav have been added in the latest squad. The BCCI has also released the squad for the 3-match ODI series against Australia after the BGT. Captain Rohit Sharma is reportedly not in line to appear for the 1st ODI at Wankhede Stadium for family reasons and in his absence, Hardik Pandya will take over the Captaincy.
