Big Breaking: Indian Olympics Association Difference all set to be resolved Due to National Interest

The Indian Olympic Association have been in headlines due to wrong reasons, and primarily the dispute is all about blame game and administrational level problems, which they need to solve big time otherwise it would impact India’s growth in Olympics.

The confilict has been mostly due to President PT Usha and 12 EC members where the latter have raised concern on how current Indian Olympic Association.

The way IOA is operating based on how 12 EC are Operating at the moment would be potential hindrance in making India Sporting nation.

Based on sources, Internal struggles, mismanagment and public disputes over IOA is all set to end and PT Usha and his team would keep all the differences aside to make sure we have arrived at one consensus so that discussion could be revolved around National Interest.

There is so much happening especially when it is bidding for Olympics 2036 so all these differences would keep India moving in backward direction.

All these controversies have erupted big time, when Raghuram Iyer who was appointed as CEO however EC(Executive Comitee) verified that his appointment never came from formal election process. and these prompted International Olympic Commitee issue warnings to IOA they lack Full time CEO.

Usha and EC Members have agreed and approved the balance sheets and audited all acounts, to withdraw financial irreugularities against the Treasurer.

The Last IOA executive committe meeting was held on 26th September 2024, and a speical General Body Meeting(SGBM) is expected shortly to be formed to resolve the outstanding matters.

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya should be credited in working with IOA Executive Commitee and USHA to resolve all the pending matters and ensure that complete deadlock could be attained also his thought process is clear that he didn’t want all the disruptions to impact the preparations of India in Olympics.

“Things are mending and everything has been sorted between EC members and USHA. There could be resolution as early as next week or in 10 days. Everyone understands the nation comes first at a time when it is planning to host next CWG and Olympics 2036 and they would be keenly looking to set aside all things and work for the betterment in sports” source stated.

The Government of India and concern stakeholders should be thanked for the way they have implemented policies like- Khelo India Youth Games, Khelo India University Games and TOPS(Target Olympics Podium Scheme) where the best of the athletes gets benefit from these scheme.

Ministry of Sports and SAI(Sports Authority of India) should be credited big time to make sure that robust policies should be done in such a way to make sure proper pathway should be done from grassroot level to highest level.

India needs to mark certain sports unlike USA and China where they doesn’t let other countries prosper in some of the Sports categories, where they are absolute champions to win maximum medals similarly India could mark- Badminton, Javelin, Wrestling, Cricket(t20 format), Archery, Sports Shooting and Hockey where they can win maximum medals.

The moment India could possibly bring that mindset shift and pick sports and excel in those domain which would make them stand tall among list of countries to bag maximum medals in Olympics.

Indian Sports Scenario have certainly grown, and credit should be given to all stakeholders who have worked hard behind the scenes to make it more process driven followed by substantial results.

The Indian Olympic Association, Sports Authority of India, Sports Ministry and respective federations should come on board and resolve every administrational changes if any so that Indian team could bring best result and athletes well round development should be considered so that they could possibly churn out more medals for the nation.
