Big Breaking: BCCI increases massive Prize money for Domestic Tournaments in Upcoming Season

You should thank the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for making several important decisions that will change Indian Cricket.

Regarding the most recent development, the BCCI has taken significant action to raise the prize money for significant domestic competitions in the forthcoming season.

In the 2019 season, the Ranji Trophy will have a prize fund of Rs 5 crore.

Teams who place second and make the semifinals will receive INR 3 crore and INR 1 crore, respectively.

“I’m pleased to announce an increase in prize money for all @BCCI Domestic Tournaments,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a tweet.

When it comes to cash prize for Irani Cup(another domestic tournaments) will be INR 50 Lakh instead of 25 Lakh and the team which will be finishing as 1st Runner Up will be INR 25 Lakh.

If we specifically talk about Duleep Trophy(another prime domestic tournaments), Winner of the marquee event will be INR 1 Crore where the first runner up will bag 50 Lakh rupees respectively.

There is a massive increase in Prize money when it comes to Vijay Hazare Trophy Tournaments which will be INR 1 Crore and the runners up will get INR 50 Lakh.

Indian Cricket upcoming domestic season will start from Duleep Trophy starting from June 28th 2023 while the next edition of Ranji Trophy(another marquee event) will start from January 5th 2024 next year.

This increase you will also witness, changes in Women’s national T20 Tournament which will commence from October 19th and November 9th 2023 respectively.

BCCI is currently busy in organizing IPL, where 10 teams are competing against each other for the coveted crown and already more than 20 matches were also played where some teams including the likes of Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titains looks dominant as compare some of the teams including the likes of Delhi Capitals who are clearly struggling at the moment.

Post IPL 2023, BCCI will be gearing up for the preparation of upcoming 50 Over World Cup which is all set to be scheduled in October later this year.
