Big Breaking: After Odisha FC, Bengaluru FC Why did Chennaiyin FC Stop Their Operation Ahead of Next Season ISL

What’s Happening in Indian Football is pretty scary to be honest as the ongoing tussle between FSDL( Football Sports Development Limited) Joint Collaboration from Star Sports and Jio Cinema have and All India Football Federation(AIFF) is in doldrums regarding MRA(Maximum Rights Agreement) as it was suppose to get renewed this year only but nothing substantial have come out of it.

Owning to the repercussions, there is no new MRA coming up and based on club AIFF need to revise the agreement where club owners and players development should get maximum revenue instead of AIFF making huge profits every year all club owners are bearing huge loss.

The moment there is no clarity on MRA, it seems one by one all franchise owners are trying to close their operations it all started from- Odisha FC followed by Bengaluru FC and latest to Join the Bandwagon is Chennaiyin FC all these club have written email to all their players, support staff stating that “As there is no clarity for next year ISL due to ongoing issue, In current running club operations is not possible at all”

Most of these franchise owners have already paid June month salary to their respective staff leaving their salary for July month on hold till there is no clarity.

Based on latest developments, All 8 Club Owners will have meeting with AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey regarding their demands and Future of Indian Super League.

The problems for ISL not happening this year have extend beyond normal territories as Referees have written to letter to AIFF President stating that “Our revised salary agreements have not come yet if these would not come it would be difficult for us to run our livelihood as most of them around 80,000 rupees per month”

Many Players including Mohammad Sanan who plays for Jamshedpur FC have stated “Hearing about the current situation make things worse for us to be honest as closing operation one by one would impact live of those people who knows nothing apart from Football. It will take toll on their mental health too”

However AIFF office bearers are confident that they would find some solid solution and league would happen.

The another reason why the process is getting delayed as the matter is already running in Supreme Court.

All I can say that all these news are not good for Indian Football and ISL as it will only take this popular game in backward direction.

The ISL being touted as India’s Premier Football League have failed to produce quality talent for India also they have failed big time to adopt the concept of Promotion and relegation unlike English and European where some of the worst teams could be erradicated and best in the business could come up the ranks and eventually elevate the status of Indian Football.

With so much politics going around, administrators are only concerned about their post what more you could expect from Indian football.

The grassroot talents are not getting taped eventually it is once and for all downfall for Indian Football, one of the best things an expert said while watching ISL and EPL “Infrastructure remains the same, Broadcasting remains the same but the quality of Football in ISL is pretty poor” This statement clearly sums up the sad state of Indian Football.

The Biggest question arises what’s ahead in the road for ISL and how we can solve problems in Indian Football?

1. They need to induct players from Abroad India probably classified as Person of Indian Origin and Overseas Citizens of India to play for our national team, so that intensity in terms of competition could be enhanced also all the current players who are part of ecosystem should have perfect idea that if they don’t play top notch football they would be replaced with players from substantial quality.

2. The structure needs to be improved based on how they could possibly tap their talent at larger scale also proper ecosystem needs to be build so that players could flourish at top most level.

3. The problems lies in aftermath, also talent identification process needs to be improved so that best in the business could learn from each other and make name for themselves.

Indian Football and ISL problems could be solved all they need to do is bring right people in the system so that overall ecosystem could flourish big time .
