Belgium attack and precision inside the circle was impressive says Lalit Upadhyay

Indian Hockey Team forward player Lalit Upadhyay was all praise for the Belgian attack that outclassed Germany by 6-1 win in the FIH Pro League match on Tuesday.

The league started after a long six months break due to COVID-19. Last year Indian team defeated Belgium by 2-1 in their first match and lost 3-2 in the second match against them. As per the media reports entire Indian team keenly observed the match between two strong teams.

“All of us had been looking forward for the FIH Pro League matches to start. Although we were hoping for the close game, it turned out to be quite one sided. The German side struggled against their opponents attack and Belgium success inside the circle was impressive” Upadhyay who is the part of ongoing SAI training camp in Bengaluru said in a Hockey India press release.

He further stressed that all the six goals scored by Belgium players came from six different corners and that’s what a quality side look like. He also said that there is lot that we can learn from the match held recently between two powerhouses as Belgium took advantage of Germany’s week defence during the entire match.

All the Indian team members have resumed their training after not playing from last 6 months and the credit should be given to SAI Bengaluru as they are making sure along with Hockey India federation that all the safety and security procedures are followed to ensure safe and smooth training among players.
