BCCI Reveals Team India New Jersey With Three Stripes

Adidas has been named the official kit sponsor of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from June 2023 to March 2028. In the video, animated drones unfurled the three shirts, carrying them from the ground at Wankhede Stadium on wooden hangers.

The jersey’s looked smooth and sharp in the video without any other sponsor marking.

The T20 shirt, which had a dark blue round neck and a light circular pattern on the chest, was on the left. The anticipated ODI shirt was in the middle, collared and a lighter shade of blue. The word ‘INDIA’ was inscribed in orange in the centre of both limited-edition kits, with the same colour utilised for the three stripes on each arm.

The Test kit was on the right, where the orange had been replaced by a royal-blue. Adidas branding appeared on the right side of all three kits, while the BCCI logo appeared on the left.

The new jersey is designed to be both stylish and functional.  The stripes on the sleeves are said to help with ventilation, while the fabric of the jersey is said to be moisture-wicking.

The BCCI has agreed to a five-year contract extension with Adidas till 2028. The contract is likely to be worth roughly 350 crores over the course of five years.
