Indian-born cricketer Basil Hameed, who represents the national cricket team of the United Arab Emirates, was born on April 15, 1992. Right-handed bowler and batsman Basil Hameed uses his right arm for off-break bowling. He is a skilled bowler for the national cricket team of the United Arab Emirates. In February 2022 against Oman, he grabbed 5 wickets.

Playing Career

Hameed got selected for the 2019 United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series One Day International (ODI) squad in December. On December 8, 2019, he played in his first One Day International for the UAE against the United States.

Basil was selected for the UAE Twenty20 International (T20I) team in February 2020 in preparation for the T20 ACC Western Region qualification competition. On February 23, 2020, he played in his first T20I for the UAE against Iran. One of the ten cricketers that were given a one-year, part-time contract by the Emirates Cricket Board in December 2020 was Basil Hameed.

Hameed’s first five-wicket haul in ODI cricket came in the second game of the month-long series against Oman in February 2022.

Personal Life

In the Indian state of Kerala, Basil Hameed was born. Before relocating to the UAE in 2015 for professional reasons, he was “on the verge of playing Ranji Trophy cricket for his native Kerala.” He was an assistant sales manager at Al Nabooda Insurance Brokers (ANIB) as of 2019. Hameed also participated in United Arab Emirates (UAE) domestic cricket championships for the company side.
