Bangladesh cricket team has already announced their squad for the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup starting from June 1 to be hosted by West Indies and USA. Bangladesh squad was announced quite late but no such surprising selection was seen.
BCB has shown confidence in only those players who have been part of the team recently. Bangladesh will be captained in the tournament by Nazmul Hossain Shanto, who was appointed captain of all three formats this year.
Bangladesh have also made way for Taskin Ahmed, who was recently ruled out of the series against USA due to injury. Taskin, who was appointed vice-captain, suffered a side strain during the recent series against Zimbabwe and will undergo treatment for the next few weeks to be fit before the start of the tournament next month.

Mahmudullah and Shakib Al Hasan also included
Experienced batsman Mahmudullah, who missed playing the last T20 World Cup for Bangladesh, has also got a place in the squad. Apart from this, top order wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Das, who has been struggling with poor form for some time, has also been successful in making a place. Experienced all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will once again be seen playing the T20 World Cup, who has been a part of every edition of the tournament so far. Along with him, there will also be three specialist spinners in the spin department in the form of Mahedi Hasan, Tanveer Islam and Rishad Hossain.
Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam along with bowling all-rounder Tanzim Saqib will also be there to support Taskin Ahmed in the fast bowling department. Bangladesh has been placed in Group D for the T20 World Cup along with South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal. The team’s first match will be against Sri Lanka on June 7 in Dallas.
