Badminton Legend PV Sindhu Parted ways with Coach Park Sae Tang

Indian badminton has a bright future since young players are moving up the rankings and winning tournaments frequently, which has substantially sped up the pace of the game.

But, the PV Sindhu and Park Sae Tang controversy, in which the latter disclosed on his official social media account the explanation for why Sindhu and he mutually agreed to part ways, has received the wrong attention and has had a detrimental effect on the world of competitive badminton.

I’ve had wonderful interactions with PV Sindhu, and I wish her nothing but success in the future. In 2024, when the Tokyo Olympics are set to take place, I will be the first to stand behind her.

“Sindhu’s performance has been dropping for the past few years, and I fully accept responsibility for her poor performance since I have been forced to return home owing to my father’s illness and his situation is terribly deteriorated so I simply want him to recover as soon as possible.”

The astounding accomplishments of Park, Sindhu’s coach, include a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

If reports are to be accepted, Hafeez Hashim will most likely replace her as coach given his stellar coaching resume.

PV Sindhu must rapidly regain her rhythm after having her attacking style and capacity for handling long serves in rallies abruptly shattered.

Her performance in recent years against weaker opponents has declined to the point where she can no longer go past two rounds.

The Paris Olympics 2024, which begin in a year, are the upcoming important event in Indian badminton.
