Contribution of Babar Azam

Pakistan batted first, and they were not able to get a good start. That is because they lost their first wicket, only at the score of 21 runs. Once they lost the first wicket, the fans didn’t lose hope. That is because their Hero Babar Azam was still there to save the match. That is exactly what he did.

Babar was expecting to make a partnership with Imam-Ul-Haq. However, Haq got out early and the score was soon, 25-2. That is when a healthy partnership happened, between Azam, and Rizwan. This partnership took the score from 25 to 111 runs. This was truly a magnificent performance with the bat by both the players. However, Azam didn’t stop there, and he continued even after the score was 111-3.

Agha Salman tried to support Azam, but he was not able to capitalize. He got out at the team score of 124 runs. However, Babar didn’t get out, until the score of the team was 338 runs.

The 214 runs partnership

At the time when the team score was 124-4. Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed ensured to set up a big total for Nepal. Fans were expecting Pakistan to score over 290 runs, but they went beyond everyone’s expectations. They took the score to 34-6, and ensured that their team was going to get a huge win right in the first game of the match.

Response of Nepal

Unfortunately, Nepal was not able to stand in front of the bowling attack of Pakistan. They got out at a score of only 104 runs. This has certainly given a great start to the Pakistani Cricket team.
