Arsenal drop points again for the 3rd week in a row! Man City closer than ever to win the Premier League 2022/23
Those living in North-London and those supporting Arsenal, we know it was a tough result and if Manchester City take advantage and snatch the title from the Gunners’ firm grip until now then it will be the biggest robbery in Premier League football over the last 5 years.
It goes without saying that City are accustomed to keep the chase on and cash in during the Business end of the season. Under Pep Guardiola, that’s what they have done. Last season the Sky blues clinched the title by just 1 point to deny Liverpool yet another PL trophy.
And even before Guardiola took over, winning the English Premier League title on the final day became City’s theme. From the Aguero echo against QPR to Gundogan’s tap in against Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa, this year it could be Erling Haaland hat-trick to decide the title.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal who are the only competition for City this season, have looked Pale and unorganized for the last 3 weeks. It all began during a 2-2 draw against last year’s runners-up Liverpool. A week later when the Gunners took on West Ham for a London derby and again played out a 2-2 draw.
And last night against relegation threatened Southampton traveled to the Emirates and took a 2-0 lead before actually frustrating Arsenal down to another draw this time by 3-3. All of it means that City have now dropped 6 out of the 9 possible points by winning only 3.

All of these developments have set up the tone for Manchester City to produce another blockbuster end to the season. In total they are chasing 3 trophies i.e a treble and if they play similar to what we saw against Bayern Munich over the 2 legs, then it is not far away.
Guardiola are riding high on Erling Haaland’s 48-goal season and they have 2 games more in hand than Arsenal. Both of them will meet in a title deciding match next week on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium.
