West Indies women’s team suffered their fourth loss of T20 series against England. West Indies look like to win the last game to avoid a whitewash in five-match T20 series. Heather Knight opted to bat after winning the toss at Derby cricket ground. England were 45 / 3 in 8th over.
Knight and Amy Jones started recovery with a counter-attack as 65 runs were added in 6 overs. Knight fell in 14th over with score being 110/4. Jones and lower-middle order took the team to a score of 166 / 6 at end of 20 overs. Jones top-scored with 55 of 37 and Knight made a well compiled 42 of 30 balls. Brunt gave the push in death overs with 25 of 17 balls.

West Indies have to chase a stiff target of 167 and with a slowish pitch, their task became all the more difficult. Dottin had to provide them with a great start but Brunt removed her in first over to kill realistic hopes of WI women. From there on WI batters struggled and could not get may sort of momentum. WI lost half of their side by 11th over with only 67 onboard and eventually limped to 122/9 at end of 20 overs. Chedean Nation is top-scored with 30 of 25 balls.
Australia had got enough depth with lower middle-order players contributing to pushing their team to above par totals. West Indies on other hand have not been able to score quick runs in the middle phase. WI team would not like to be whitewashed and would try to get consolation victory but looking at the confidence of their players it looks unlikely.
