Ajit Agarkar names young Indian fast bowler who impressed him a lot in IPL 2020

Former Indian fast bowler, Ajit Agarkar lauded young fast bowler Kartik Tyagi for showing a lot of heat and bowling well in the recently concluded IPL 2020. He named him as one of the emerging Indian bowlers to watch out for in the future.

But I think the one guy I quite loved watching in this IPL was Kartik Tyagi for Rajasthan Royals. I think there is something about him for someone who is so young and inexperienced,” he said.

Kartik Tyagi

Agarkar was impressed with the attitude shown by the youngster and said that the latter will learn from his experience in the cash-rich league. He stated that Tyagi is well equipped to bowl at all stages of the game.

The hope is that you get better as you go forward because he seems to have the goods, he seems to have the skillsets to bowl at various stages of a T20 game, which is probably the hardest thing to do,” Agarkar continued.

Kartik Tyagi played his debut season for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020. He showed a lot of character and bowled well for the franchise. Tyagi bowled at all the stages of an innings and showed the world that he is here to stay. In 10 matches, he took 9 wickets. His economy though was a bit on the expensive side. He came into the IPL 2020 on the back of an impressive performance in the 2019 Under-19  World Cup.

Agarwal also lauded T Natrajan for leading SRH in the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in IPL 2020. His ability to bowl toe-crushing yorkers impressed one and all.

“From what I saw, we keep talking about Natarajan’s yorkers. I think for a team that lost its spearhead in Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he sort of stood up really well,” Agarkar said.
