The Board of Control for Cricket in India released the official schedule of Indian Premier League on Sunday. As per the official schedule, Chennai Super Kings will play the first match of IPL 2020 against Mumbai Indians on 19th September 2020.

While the fans are excited to witness a cracker of a game, CSK’s problems aren’t willing to subside. Earlier, two players including Deepak Chahar got tested positive for coronavirus. This was followed by Suresh Raina pulling out of the tournament, citing personal reasons. Recently, Harbhajan Singh has also opted out of this year’s IPL.

Chennai Super Kings are yet to announce the replacements for both the players. Meanwhile, renowned commentator, Aakash Chopra has named his best playing eleven for CSK in IPL.

Chopra has gone with Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson as two openers, followed by Faf Du Plessis at number three.

At No.1, I am putting Shane Watson. He doesn’t play international cricket, which goes against him. We said the same thing the last 2 years, but he went hard at the bowlers

Along with him will be Ambati Rayudu. The last twelve months have been eventful for him. He first announced his retirement and then unretired himself. Now we will have to see how he bats in the IPL.

At No.3, I am going with Faf du Plessis. I think this season will be very important for him, especially if you see from CSK’s point of view. Because if he does well, then CSK will also do well because he will have to shoulder the burden of Raina’s absence. He plays spin well and is very fit also.

The middle-order will comprise of MS Dhoni and Kedar Jhadav, while Jadeja will take number six position.

“At No.4, you can keep MS Dhoni or Kedar Jadhav. I have gone for the latter.”

Because MS Dhoni likes to go with 7 bowling options, we will have to go with Ravindra Jadeja at No.6

One between Dwayne Bravo and Sam Curran will take number seven position, followed by Imran Tahir, Piyush Chawla, Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur at eight, nine, ten and eleven respectively.
