A total of 15,000 school children from the Kashmir Division and 2,000 athletes from all over the country have flocked to Srinagar to participate in this mega sporting event. The massive turnout underscores the growing enthusiasm and passion for sports among India’s youth.
One of the main goals of the School – National Games is to create an environment where young athletes can learn from each other and share their experiences. Abdul Salah, a participant from Jammu and Kashmir, expressed the sentiment of many athletes, saying, “We can gain experience from this event. Many talented athletes have come to this event, and it will be good for us if they share their experiences with us.”
Furthermore, the event provides a unique opportunity for athletes to interact and train together, fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and teamwork. As another athlete from the host state pointed out, “This platform will help us boost players. This is the first time I have seen players from Jammu and Kashmir staying in a single camp for 10 days.”
