A player like Jadeja deserves to be in all three formats: Suresh Raina

Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja who is in sublime form from last 12 months not just for the national side but also for his Chennai side franchise as the last match CSK played against RCB was simply all about Jadeja.

His impact on that game was immense that opposition captain Virat Kohli said that we have been beaten by only guy whose talent is pretty evident for all of us to see.

Jadeja scored 62 runs from 28 balls including 37 runs of the last over of Harshal Patel who is currently the purple cap holder in the tournament.

His brilliance was not just limited to batting but in the same match he took 3 wickets including one precious run out and with his overall brilliant performance Chennai clinched their fifth victory out of six games they have played so far in the ongoing edition of IPL 2021.

The 32-year-old left his CSK’s teammate Suresh Raina in awe of his capabilities and Raina couldn’t help but lavish praises on the all-rounder.

The southpaw further added that Jadeja deserves to play all three formats of the game.

“He’s been batting really well, he’s been bowling really well, and he has taken 7 or 8 catches till now. Someone like Jadeja has to be in all three formats,” Raina said in a video posted on CSK’s social media handle.

He further asserted it is a privilege for any captain to have someone like Jadeja in their squad.

Ravindra Jadeja named India's most valuable All-rounder of 21st century

“He works really hard. I would say he is one of the number one in the world. He has been amazing. I love his attitude, how he throws his body at the ball and he enjoys fielding. I think he is one person who can really change the momentum.

“Whoever (is) the captain in the side really wants him in the team. When things are not in your favor, one catch or one run out can change the momentum. That’s what he has been doing,” Raina concluded.
