Wrestling Protest Live updates : Wrestlers called for an emergency meeting by the Indian Olympic Association

After 2 days of furious protests by the Wrestling community of India which includes Olympics and Commonwealth Games medalists, the IOA (Indian Olympic Association) has called for an emergency meeting with the Wrestlers who are showing their disagreement against the Wrestling Federation of India at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.

The revolutionaries (Wrestlers) have stood strong against their managing committee and alleged that WFI president Brij Bushan Singh has been involved in mental torture and sexual harassment of Female wrestlers. There are no further updates as of now but sources have suggested that the meeting was held at 5 PM earlier today.

It will not be a physical meeting but a virtual one and IOA will discuss with the Wrestlers about their issues and other demands. Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist Bajrang Punia appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Sport Minister Anurag Thakur to look into the situation and hear their demands.

The Wrestling community wants Brij Bushan Singh to resign from his position alongside a complete overhaul of the system. The WFI Chief on the other hand has denied all the allegations thrown towards him and also said that there is a smell of political conspiracy in it and Bushan sooner or later will expose it.

Many angles and perspectives have come around this issue but there is no clear cut verdict and in future many more angles are expected to appear.
