
Wrestlers protest updates : Delhi Police registers 2 FIR’s against Brij Bhushan Singh! Vinesh Phogat appeals to PM Modi for Justice
Yesterday for the first time, Supreme Court had something to say about the Wrestling Protest led by the country’s best Wrestlers against the Wrestling Federation of India’s President and other officials. It was alleged by the Protesting side that Delhi Police did not co-operate with them and denied registering an FIR against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
And after the orders from Supreme Court, 2 FIRs have been filed against Brij Bhushan. Yesterday during the first hearing, Kapil Sibbal stated that Brij Bhushan should be expelled as he is a criminal have more than 35 cases against him including a Murder.
It is a good news for the Wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar as they had to wait for too long. At the Connaught Place Police station, Delhi Police filed 2 FIRs for possible sexual harassment charges.

Wrestlers like Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik and Bajrang Punia among others gathered together to remove Brij Bhushan Singh from his WFI seat as he is responsible for many occasions of him sexually assaulting and torturing young female Wrestlers even at the National camps in which a minor was also a victim.
It all began in January 2023 when the Wrestling fraternity sat at Jantar Mantar to protest against Brij Bhushan Singh. The first FIR against the WFI president is filed under POCSO act for harassing a minor along with several IPC chargers as well.

While the second FIR is registered for carrying out a comprehensive investigations into the complaints tendered by other complainants under relevant sections pertaining to outraging of modesty.” DCP Pranav Tayal.
