Why it is Now or Never for Team India Football Team Under Coach Khalid Jamil?

Being in Khalid Jamil’s Shoes is not easy at all considering the current state of Indian Football, he is the only bright light which is needed to take Blue Tigers forward.

The best thing about Khalid Jamil he never makes excuses at all and the recently concluded CAFA Nations Cup is a perfect testament to it.

India finished at 3rd place in CAFA Nations Cup in Tajikistan, by beating higher ranked Oman.

In the same tournament, Mohun Bagan refused to send their players for National team never heard anything from Jamil where he would have made any sort of excuse like “We don’t have our full strength squad and all”

He marshalled his troops brilliantly in order to extract best result.

The same mindset he would be focusing to inject in hearts and mind of all Indian players in the Upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2027 final round qualifier against Singapore at the National Stadium on Thursday.

“We played CAFA  Nations Cup (Last Month) and it was a useful tournament for us” Jamil said ahead of the match eve.

“The Players are professionals, they know the importance of this game and they are prepared in such a way to give their best. They know their responsibilities” Jamil added.

He would definitely want his big names to perform when it mattered the most  also experience campaigner like Sunil Chhetri could literally guide them on how to absorb pressure when it is mattered the most.

If he would be able to tactically guide them and register couple of more victories would mean that Indian Football is heading towards right direction.

As of now, Things look slimy for Indian Football as they are placed at fourth spot among all the teams they need to punch above their weights to emerge at the top of Indian Football.

They would be playing against Home side Singapore today where the latter start as favorites to win this contest.

“Our approach to matches is not fixed, it all depends on the situation. We may have to mix(attack and defence) sometimes. We are now playing away so have to be careful, against Singapore who have quality players” said Jamil, who took over Manolo Marquez after a draw against Bangladesh and Loss away to Hong Kong.

For the match against Higher ranked Singapore India needs to mix and match their squad brilliantly.

Till the time of Writing India have released their Playing X1 squad against Singapore today to be shared in the below format:

1. Gurpreet Singh Sandhu(Captain and Goalkeeper)

2. Rahul Bheke

3. Anwar Ali

4. Sandhesh Jhingan

5. Nikhil Prabhu

6. Liston Colaco

7. Sunil Chhetri

8. Macarton Louis Nickson

9. Farukh Choudhary

10. Lallianzula Chhangte

11. Muhammad Uvais

There are several concern surrounding Indian Men’s Football Team whether it is related to working on more ball possession and their inability to score at right moment exposed their performance to wider extent.

The experience campaigner like Chhetri could come in handy to take Men in Blue and take the team through.

The other problem surrounding star Player Chhetri that he didn’t have competitive matches from quite some time.

However many experts believe that “Scoring Goal for someone like him is not a problem as he could come back in form whenever it is needed the most”

If Jamil with his own madness could pull this victory for India, it would be perfect story in itself for Team India, let’s see how Indian team would fare against Singapore in the opening encounter.
