Royal Challengers Bangalore is certainly the most talked about franchise in all the seasons of IPL happened till date. It is mainly due to star studded lineup that the franchise possesses including the likes of Kohli and De Villiers.
The latest player to join them ahead of IPL 2021 is Dan Christian who believes that RCB will be lifting the title this year for sure. Virat Kohli led side achieved best result in 2016 where they finished as runner up losing to eventual champions Sun Risers Hyderabad.
RCB has signed Christian for the whooping amount of INR 4.8 crore. They are among the three teams who have not won the cash rich league title till date.
“We’re going to win it this year; as a team, we are probably due to winning one, and hopefully, I can help to get over the line. It will be brilliant to bat with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers on the other end, throw Glenn Maxwell in there as well, a good mate of mine from home in Australia. We have played good cricket together. To be playing or just be sharing the dressing room with those guys will be fantastic, and I’m really looking forward to it, and hopefully, we go really well as a team,” Dan Christian said on an Instagram live session.
He receives his IPL outing this year due to brilliant performance in the recently concluded BBL where he helped his side Sydney Sixers to lift the title. Having won nine T20 titles across the world, Christian definitely knows a thing or two about what it takes to win T20 tournaments and RCB will be looking to cash in on his experience
So Far he has played for four different teams of IPL where he has amassed 446 runs at the strike rate of 119.2 and clinched 34 wickets so far with an economy of 7.94.
“As an all-rounder, you’ve got to practice everything, worked a lot on my starts and my innings, knocking balls all around and making sure I’m getting off-strike when I’m starting. Also, practiced a bit of my death hitting both the fast bowlers and also hitting some spinners as well. From my bowling perspective, I’m trying to hit that good length as often as I possibly can and then use my different variations, and obviously practicing my yorkers as well,” Christian added.
