English Premier League 2022/23 title race just got even more thrilling as Manchester City dented Arsenal’s title hopes at their home last night at the Emirates Stadium. The league leaders endured 2 back-to-back losses before losing another 3 points against the reigning champions.
For almost 4 months, the North-Londoners were on top of the league standings but 3 straight defeats against Everton, Brentford and Manchester City have seen them slip to 2nd on goal difference. The Gunners must thank their cross town rivals Tottenham Hotspur for beating City on the day they lost to Everton by 1-0.
Tottenham 1-0 Man City.
This happened between Rodi and Lloris, referee said NO Penalty. Today Anthony Taylor punished us with that same incident we were in favor vs Spurs.

Had City won against Spurs, Arsenal would have been 3 points away from the sky blues after last night’s 3-1 defeat. Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland sealed the victory for the visitors to go on top of the table with 51 points and a +10 goal difference.
The Sky blues had taken the lead in the 24th minute after a mistake by Arsenal right back Takehiro Tomiyasu was punished by Kevin De Bruyne’s sensational left-footed attempt towards the goal. But the lead did not last much longer as Bukayo Saka converted a 42nd minute penalty to make it 1-1 before half-time.
Arsenal haven’t won any of their last 4 games in all competitions:

But in the later stages of the 2nd-half, Jack Grealish netted a deflected goal to make it 2-0 in the 72nd minute and 10 minutes later, Erling Haaland got into the score sheet after a 4-match run without a goal. After City landed the blow, De Bruyne was subbed off in the 87th minute for Kalvin Phillips.
This is disgraceful!
Manchester City star Kevin de Bruyne was the target of a number of bottles thrown by Arsenal fans.
Lose with dignity.

The Belgian Attacking midfielder was walking off from the sidelines when the Arsenal fans in the rows started throwing bottles towards him. The fans’ agitation was clear and KDB added salt to their wounds as the Belgium international laughed off and kicked the bottles as a way of mocking the home fans.
After the match, Kevin De Bruyne posted an Instagram story with a picture of his receiving a bottle and he captioned the picture with “Beer Anyone”? City will face Nottingham Forest up next and will look to increase their lead at the top.
