2-time UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea who won the coveted European trophy only Two years ago in 2020-21 are just another defeat away from getting knocked out of the Quarter-finals for the 2nd year in a row and that too against the same opponents.

Reigning champions Real Madrid won their 14th UCL title last year and entered the finals after beating Chelsea in the last 8 round. This year too, they are in a resurgent form and the Los Blancos will aim to land their 15th European trophy as they are already out of contention to retain the La Liga title this season.

Their passage to the Semi-finals is almost done but there is uncertainty regarding their opponents in the final 4. As of now, City are favorites to meet them but nothing can be said as Bayern Munich are capable of staging a 2nd leg comeback in their own back yard.

Meanwhile, the focus is back on North-Londoners Chelsea who recently hired their 4th manager of the season. After sacking Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Bruno Salter before bringing back club legend Frank Lampard as the Interim manager as they search for positive results in an overall poor season.

However, their fortunes did not take a positive turn and Chelsea fans are simply not having it. They have called out Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic who played terribly against his former club. The Croat could not make a single interception in the game.

He did not make a single tackle the whole game as the Madrid midfield ran rings around him. The supporters were eager to point out that he had made some errant passes. Overall, Kovacic had trouble enhancing Chelsea’s efforts in the park’s middle.
