US Open Champion Naomi Osaka pulls out from French Open 2020 due to hamstring injury

US Open Champion Naomi Osaka recently announced that she will not take part in the upcoming edition of French Open 2020 due to hamstring injury.

Osaka announced this on her official Twitter account where she wrote “Hey Guys, first and foremost thank you so much for all the support over the last three weeks. I couldn’t have done it without you”

“Unfortunately I won’t be able to play the French Open this year. My hamstring is still sore so I won’t enough time to prepare for the clay-these two tournaments came close to each other for me this year. I wish the organisers and players all the best” the World number 3 added.

The French Open is all set to start from September 27th 2020 at Roland Garros, will witness all top stars competing against each other for the ace title.

She is the first Asian player to hold the top ranking in singles. She has won Grand Slam thrice in her short carrier. Her first two grand slam came back to back in 2018 and 2019 after she won US Open and Australian Open respectively.

She is also one of the highest paid and marketable athlete in the world in 2020.She earned a name after beating 23 times Grand Slam Champion Serena Williams in 2018 to win the US Open. She was born in Japan but all her training was pursued in USA.
