Udanta Singh Kumam, an Indian professional football player who competes for both the India national team and Indian Super League club Goa, was born on June 14, of the year 1996. Udanta Singh plays as a winger for the Goa Club.
Football Club Career
Singh began his youth career at the Tata Football Academy after being born in Moirang, Manipur. Singh performed admirably at TFA throughout the I-League U19, Saras Gold Cup, and Darjeeling Gold Cup in the year 2014. Additionally, Udanta Singh Kumam competed for Jharkhand in the 2011 Indian National Games. At the Nike All Asia Camp in Australia, where Udanta Singh Kumam and his teammate Alen Deory were chosen for the All-Star team, Singh also represented India. After helping his team win the 2014 I-League U19, Singh left the Tata Football Academy. With his nine goals in the football competition, Udanta Singh won the golden boot award.
Singh’s professional deal with Bengaluru football club, the current I-League champions and top professional league in India, was revealed on July 15, of the year 2014. On October 30, of the year 2014, against Mohammedan in the Durand Cup, Udanta made his football team debut. Udanta came off the bench to begin the second half, playing the entire 45 minutes as Bengaluru FC prevailed 2-1. Later, when Bengaluru FC faced Salgaocar in the semifinal round of the same event, Udanta made his professional debut in the game of football. Udanta came off the bench once more and converted his penalty during the shootout, but Bengaluru FC lost on penalties 4-5 and he was unable to save his club. On March 31, of the year 2015, Udanta made his I-League debut in a 4-1 victory over Sporting Goa after replacing Sean Rooney. On April 28, of the year 2015, during an AFC Cup group stage match against Maldivian team Maziya, Udanta assisted captain Sunil Chhetri for the game-winning goal, making him the youngest Indian player to do so. Udanta Singh became the youngest Indian goal scorer in AFC Cup history when he scored his maiden goal for Bengaluru on May 12, of the year 2015, in an AFC Cup match. Udanta Singh opened the scoring in a 3-1 loss to Persipura Jayapura.
Singh was given a two-year contract extension after the season. Bengaluru FC decided to send Udanta on a training assignment at English club Oxford United in the EFL League 2 in place of selecting Udanta Singh for the 2015 Indian Super League.
On March 2, of the year 2016, Udanta scored his first I-League goal of the 2015–16 campaign against Shillong Lajong, winning the game’s man of the match award.
In the opening league game of the 2016–17 campaign, Bengaluru football club defeated Shillong Lajong 3-0 thanks to two goals from Udanta. After that, Udanta was given the award for player of the game, and his second goal was praised for being a “beautiful volley.” For his effort in the game, Udanta Singh was also chosen player of the week by a newspaper.

International Football Career
In the year 2013, Udanta was chosen to join the India U-19 team for the qualification for the AFC U-19 Championship. Udanta Singh Kumam started all four of India’s games and scored one against the football team of Turkmenistan U-19s. On March 24, of the year 2016, Udanta made his senior debut against the football team of Iran in a qualification game.
In India’s 5-0 triumph over Chinese Taipei on June 1, of the year 2018, Udanta Singh Kumam scored his first career goal.
