Two Potential Managers Who Would Be Solid Replacements For Pellegrini At West Ham

After having made a positive start to the season, West Ham find themselves in a major spot of bother. They were aiming for nothing less than a top-six finish. Judging by the way in which things are going, they could however now be relegation candidates this season.

The club has lost five out of their last several games and find themselves struggling. They do have a good squad which is capable of finishing on the top half of the standings. Judging by the way that things are going, it will not be a shock if the club were to sell Pellegrini should the results fail to improve.

The following are two managers that the club are considering recruiting if they do indeed sell Pellegrini.

1. Rafa Benitez

Benitez’s successful three year spell with Newcastle United made him one of the most respected managers in the World. He kept the Magpies in the League despite having had to work on a very tight budget. Benitez would be a good option. He also has vast experience in the Premier League and would be able to bring in some solid signings.

2. David Moyes

Moyes previously managed West Ham during the second half of the 2017/18 season. He came in at a time during which the club was struggling to avoid relegation. The Scot was tasked to help the club avoid the drop and he successfully did that. The East Londoners however only hired him on a short term basis and opted not to renew his contract once it came to an end.

Many feel that Moyes had the club playing an attractive brand of football and that he was unlucky that his contract was not renewed. Moyes likely paid the price due to the fact that his previous three stints with Manchester United, Sunderland and Real Sociedad did not well.
