There is a lot of learning for the Salem Spartans. In the first game they were chasing the target of over 200, and they were able to score only 165 after 20 overs. This shows that there is so much to improve. Before they reached the 100 run score, they had already lost 5 wickets.
That means the top order really needs to ensure that they stay there till at least 14 overs. The lower order is doing a good enough job for them. On the other hand, they also need to make sure that they take early wickets. Only then they will be able stop the opponent from reaching the 200 runs mark.
Learnings for the Ba11sy Tricky TNPL 2023
The most important lesson for them from the first match is to ensure that they put a big score on the board for the bowlers to defend. They might be having the best bowling unit. But if batsmen are not going to put a score on the board, then there is nothing bowlers can do.
