Chepauk Super Gillies will lock horns with Idream Tiruppur Tamizhans for match number 5 of TNPL 2023 edition. 4 breathtaking matches have already been played and tonight’s fixture between CSG and ITT is expected to go down the wire.
This encounter will get underway from 7:15 PM onwards at the SNR College Cricket Ground at Coimbatore which hosted the opening 4 matches as well. When it comes to the star players of both teams then CSG’s Captain and Wicket-keeper Narayan Jagadeesan is the biggest name in the team. In the domestic T20 circuit, the 27-year-old has 1153 runs in 57 matches at an average of 29.56 including 6 half-centuries.
Meanwhile ITT also have a match winner in the form of IPL winning All-rounder Vijay Shankar. The 32-year-old has represented various franchises in the IPL and has also played for India at the highest level. Although he has only played 9 International T20 matches, his domestic T20 numbers are staggering.
In 129 matches, Shankar has 2034 runs and 33 wickets and he will be crucial for Idream Tiruppur this season.
