The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) title was won by the Tiigers of Kolkata, who defeated Majhi Mumbai in the Final on Friday, March 15, at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane. In the grand final, the Tiigers proved their strength, winning by a margin of 10 wickets to win their first-ever ISPL championship.
After winning the toss, Kolkata captain Prathamesh Pawar chose to field first. When it came to their batting, Majhi Mumbai got off to a poor start. In the third over, Raviraj Ahire was caught in the deep, costing them their first wicket. Subsequently, the Mumbai batting unit suffered a terrible collapse, losing three wickets at a cost of 25 runs.
Majhi Mumbai was down 25 of 5 runs when skipper Yogesh Penkar was dismissed for just 3 runs, and Abhishek Kumar Dalhor, the star of the first season of the Indian Super League, was out for just 1 run. After hitting a few sixes in the 50-50 over, Vijay Pawle got eliminated from the game in the last ball as Mumbai lost the challenge and six runs were taken away. Mumbai could only manage 58 for 9 at the conclusion of their allocated 10 overs, therefore the tail failed to capitalize.
With three wickets for ten, Bhavesh Pawar was the most effective bowler; Raju Mukhiya and Babbu Rana each took down two wickets.
Kolkata got off to a calm start in the run chase thanks to the strong foundation that captain Prathamesh Pawar and Munnai Shaikh provided. As they continued on their journey, Prathamesh Pawar displayed his hitting prowess. Even though Kolkata lost the 50-50 over challenge, Pawar and Qureshi led them to a convincing win that sealed the title.
