Scotland Women defeated Ireland Women’s team
In the first semi-final match played in Abu Dhabi, Scotland Women defeated Ireland Women’s team by 8 wickets and secured their place in the tournament. Batting first, Ireland women’s team scored only 110 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, Scotland achieved this target in 16.2 overs by losing only 2 wickets. For Scotland, Megan McCall played an inning of 50 runs in 47 balls and led her team to victory. Earlier, Katherine Bryce had taken 4 wickets in bowling.
Sri Lanka qualifies for World Cup
Sri Lanka confirmed its World Cup ticket by defeating UAE, while in the second semi-final match played in Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka defeated UAE by 15 runs.
Batting first, Sri Lanka Women’s team scored 149 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the UAE team could score only 134 runs after losing 7 wickets. For Sri Lanka, Vishmi Gunaratne scored the highest score of 45 runs. Captain Isha Oja played a captaincy inning of 66 runs for UAE but could not lead the team to victory.

Schedule of the Women’s T20 World Cup
The schedule of the Women’s tournament has been released. This time this tournament will be played in Bangladesh from October 3 to October 20. The first match will be between England and South Africa Women in Dhaka. A total of 10 teams will participate in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which have been divided into two groups.
Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Qualifier 1 have been placed in Group A. Whereas South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Qualifier 2 have been placed in Group B. A total of 23 matches will be played between these teams.
