New Zealand announced team for T20 World Cup, unveiled jersey
New Zealand has announced its 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2024. Kane Williamson has been made the captain of the team. While Trent Boult has also been given a place in the team.
Apart from this, players like Jimmy Neesham, Tim Southee and Ish Sodhi are also part of the New Zealand team. However, Ben Sears and Tim Seifert have not been included in the squad.
Devon Conway has also got a place in the New Zealand team, who is currently suffering from injury. Conway was injured during the Australia series and has been out of action since then. He could not even play in the IPL due to injury. However, he had joined the CSK team for practice, so that he could prepare well for the T20 World Cup.

If we talk about Trent Boult, he is currently playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL and has performed well. He has taken a lot of wickets with the new ball and perhaps this is the reason why he has got a place in the Kiwi team.
Rachin Ravindra has also got a place in the team. He is currently a part of CSK in the IPL. Daryl Mitchell and Mitchell Santner are also part of New Zealand’s T20 World Cup squad.
Jimmy Neesham and Michael Bracewell have been included in the Kiwi team. Both these players had recently gone on a Pakistan tour. Bracewell also captained the New Zealand team. New Zealand’s second-tier team had shown excellent performance in Pakistan and were successful in leveling the series 2-2.
Players like Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Phillips and Tim Southee are also in the team. Overall, all the veteran players have been included in the New Zealand team.

New Zealand’s jersey for the T20 World Cup has also been unveiled. The New Zealand team will be seen in its 1999 retro look. The team’s jersey has been designed in a similar manner.

New Zealand adopted unique method to announce the team
The New Zealand Board adopted such a unique method to announce the team, due to which it is being praised a lot. Actually, to announce the Kiwi team, not the selector but two children named Matilda and Angus came and announced the squad.
Two children were sent to announce the team and they came and told the names of all the players one by one. The New Zealand Board has shared a video of this on its social media. Fans are praising this unique method of New Zealand and saying that only New Zealand can do this.
